Sudan Trademark registration

Sudan is a member of the Madrid Agreement, the Madrid Protocol and the ARIPO. The 9th edition of the international classification of goods and services consisting of 45 classes has been adopted (exception: trademark protection cannot be achieved for alcoholic goods). Trademark protection is obtained by registration. It can also be acquired by sufficient public recognition.

A trademark registration in Sudan is valid for 10 years and starts with registration date. The registration is renewable for periods of 10 years.
